HAPPINESS AT WORK MATTERS

WORKSHOPS TO GET UN'S TEAMS & EMPLOYEES TO WORK AT THEIR BEST.

WORK WITH YOURSELF FOR OTHERS

Being happy and motivated is the first step to showing up at work with an attitude that will move us towards success and well-being at work. How often do you consider that you could be feeling better working with your colleagues or your employees, or that you could be heard more often, or have more opportunities to show your leadership or work style?

A team that aligns with your values and where you feel secure, and appreciated is crucial for an environment that will help you grow. The team could expand its capacity to understand, express, and manage good relationships, and solve problems under pressure with more intent. Remember that when you and your team members are feeling good and psychologically safe at work, your and their performance improves enormously and your general well-being increases.

WHAT NORMALLY DOESN'T WORK IN TEAMS

We all show up to work with our personalities, behaviors, patterns, and attitudes that we developed and learned in childhood and from past experiences. It is impossible to leave our feelings and behaviors at the door, and sometimes unsolved personal issues or personal challenges are reflected in how we collaborate, lead and achieve our goals.

Here are some of the most common challenges at work

  • different work styles;

  • processes that don't work with the team energy;

  • lack of chemistry among colleagues;

  • personality and egos clashes;

  • creative ideas conflict;

  • vision misalignment;

  • leadership conflicts;

  • team burn out, lost interest or purpose

  • lack of clarity and direction

All these challenges affect your team's creative power, productivity, and goal achievement.

 TEAM DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS AT UN CITY
- based on discovery building and storytelling -

In contribution to the UN City LIfe Strategy, UN City Inclusive Work Strategy and the recognition that employee wellbeing is a critical link to achieving organization performance and strength, UN City Wellbeing Counselor Meri Dandaki in tandem with Ana Farias, Innovation Strategist is offering all UN employees access to innovative reflection workshops about team collaboration and their relationships. The initiative embraces personal values and personality traits with the aim to support UN teams to understand themselves, one another, and the dynamics that happen within their teamwork.

The primary goal is to help you and your team in engaging in more meaningful collaborations with your colleagues, employees, and projects. The results: more effective teaming, better-engaged employees, more inclusive meetings, increased productivity, and a higher sense of well-being and inclusion.

These workshops centered on building stronger relationships have the intent to tap into four of the six entities that support the UN City Lifestrategy.

  • Phycological: Cope effectively with life and create satisfying relationships with others,

  • Social: Bring a sense of connectedness and belongingness in teams showing respect for diversity and inclusivity.

  • Spiritual: Maintain a sense of purpose and meaning in their work to grow their sense of contribution.

The workshops also build on the UN City Workplace Inclusion Strategy and Focus Group Interview with managers & supervisors.

Emotional regulation, behavioral and attitudinal awareness are more significant when working with cross-cultural and global teams, as the complexity of interactions of emotions and how they are expressed increases.

Book as soon as possible as there are only 32 spots available. First come first served.

WORKSHOP DESIGNED IN TANDEM

When you take a workshop you and your team will start the path to a new mindset where the values, emotions, behaviors, and positive dynamics within your group will become fundamental to achieving your department's goals, personal motivations, and sense of happiness and well-being.

There are many different ways of approaching the workshop, but as each case is different, the innovative method and toolkit we are bringing to you will allow us to tailor-made the exercises, approaches, and desired outcomes to your team's specific challenges.

Just come to us with your thoughts about what challenges or opportunities you see in your team, and together we will design the experience to make sure it is productive, fun, and helpful.

WORKSHOP TOOLKIT

During the workshops, we will be using a newly released toolkit, a set of interlocking tiles that lets participants explore the complexity of thoughts, ideas, emotions, and behaviors in a three-dimensional way that is as simple and fun as playing with building blocks!

The toolkit will empower you and your team to realize and solve all kinds of situations and circumstances you face every day at work, unveiling the strategies that will move you forward.

It is highly recommended to bring a growth mindset hat and open your intuition. But dont worry, you will learn more about this later.
